What I do

I offer affordable, professional counselling and psychotherapy for adults.

I am passionate about providing accessible counselling and psychotherapy at an affordable price. I will provide a non-judgemental, confidential and welcoming space for you to discuss your situation.

You have made the first step in searching for a counsellor, this can feel like a difficult step to take, and I understand that choosing the right counsellor is vital for you to experience effective therapy. I believe that a comfortable and relaxed environment can contribute to a positive experience of therapy.

There are several reasons why people choose therapy, but the most important reason is yours, so rather than compare to a long list of explanations as to why people may come to therapy, perhaps the next step is for you to contact me so I can listen to your reasons and then if you like my approach we can tailor the therapy together to suit your needs.

About me

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist and I work in a relational psychodynamic approach, which can offer an understanding of our behavioural patterns. I take the view that there is no single formulaic approach that can successfully cater to every client’s needs. I will work with you to provide a bespoke individual therapy plan. I have no expectations as to how your therapy should be, and we can use a variety of techniques to help you make sense of how current concerns could perhaps be related to earlier or present life experiences.

I previously worked in the NHS before establishing a private practice. I have experience working with clients relating to anxiety, bereavement, bullying, depression, domestic abuse, health-related issues, loss, low confidence/self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma and work-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • MSc in Attachment Theory, Research and Practice
  • FdSc Integrative Counselling, University of Greenwich
  • NCFE Counselling Skills Theory/Interpersonal Skills Levels 1-3, Guildford College
  • Certificate in Health & Social Care, Open University
I am a member of the The National Counselling Society (NCS) and adhere to their ethical framework.

Therapy

I tailor the therapy to meet your individual needs and allow the therapy to flow in whichever direction is needed for you.

Therapy is a collaborative partnership within the therapeutic relationship.
